CE-Module GDPR and HR
Employees have a right to their privacy, although this is not an absolute right. Sometimes an employer’s interests will outweigh an employee’s right to privacy. Faced with a pandemic of enormous proportions, we have experienced together what tension this can create.
This CE module discusses the obligations under the GDPR and related legislation that apply to employers when they process personal data of employees (and applicants).

Employers must adhere to the well-known principles of art. 5 GDPR (such as lawfulness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, integrity and confidentiality) and must always have a basis for lawfully processing employee data. The PE module highlights the various points of attention of privacy in the workplace and has a practical approach. For example, attention is paid to the privacy of applicants and sick employees, but also to the monitoring of employees by employers (cameras, cards, drug and alcohol checks). The PE module is useful for the DPO who monitors compliance with the GDPR by the HR department and advises on this, but also for the HR manager who wants to gain more knowledge of the GDPR and HR and who wants to know which privacy rules apply in the workplace.
During the workshop, we respond to current events and there is plenty of room for asking questions.

The total costs for the module are € 500 (excluding VAT and per person). Duthler Academy works with different platforms. Participants of the Center for Information Security and Privacy Protection (CIP) receive a 15% discount on the full range of training courses. Private individuals and government institutions are exempt from VAT.
