Multidisciplinary knowledge is required to function as a Data Protection Officer (DPO). Knowledge in the field of legislation and regulations, organization, ICT, AO / IB and security.

In order to properly perform his advisory and supervisory duties, the DPO must have the aforementioned multidisciplinary knowledge. It is impossible to function properly without thorough knowledge of privacy legislation.

Cluster A offers four modules aimed at gathering legal knowledge. With the acquired knowledge, the DPO is able to interpret the Dutch Personal Data Protection Act (Wbp), the European General Conviction of Data Protection (AVG) and related laws and regulations and to properly fulfill his function from a formal legal point of view.
