The DPO Training Program offers the theoretical and practical foundation that the DPO needs to ensure adequate data protection and privacy (housekeeping) within his or her organization.
Interfaces
Attention is not only paid to the development of cognitive competences. Attention is also paid to ethics and the acquisition of skills that are necessary to be able to fulfill the function at all levels of an organization. The DPO Training Program consists of 30 modules that are subdivided into 4 different clusters. Not only laws and regulations are discussed. Extensive attention is also paid to governance and compliance, internal control and administrative organization, accounting and auditing.
Methodology
We use the Bloom taxonomy in developing the various components of the DPO Training Program and the other workshops, masterclasses and training courses offered. This taxonomy is aimed at developing teaching materials.
Previous education and study load
Prior training at higher professional or university level such as law, public administration, business administration, ICT and accountancy / audit form a logical starting level for the DPO Training Program. The study load is estimated at an average of 20 hours per module, including participation in the workshop (4 hours) and taking the exam.
