As a DPO it is important to have knowledge of the technology behind information security. By means of practical examples from daily practice, the important concepts are explained and the necessary technical knowledge will be increased, making it easier to recognize points of attention that are important for fulfilling the DPO role. During the module, topics such as security, information flows and identity management are discussed.
Duthler Academy invites guest speakers for this module. During this module you will meet Mr. Marcel Winkel, Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field of Risk & Compliance at Micro Focus. Marcel has been working on the subject of GDPR since it was announced and, prior to joining Micro Focus, worked as an independent Risk & Compliance consultant. He is a pragmatic professional with a solid background in Information Management and Compliance.
Obligations associated with this part
To fulfill the obligations under this section, you must:
- Make a diagnostic test, in preparation for the subject matter to be followed;
- Take a diagnostic test after the self-study, which must be completed with a pass. This is a condition for participation in the workshop;
- To be present during the workshop;
- A final exam with a passing mark.
Study load
The self-study takes about 16 hours, the workshop takes about 4 hours and the final exam takes about 2 hours.
